The Leisure Activity Card (Fritidskortet)

The Leisure Activity Card is a national financial support introduced in autumn 2025. It aims to give more children and young people aged 8–16 the opportunity to take part in leisure activities such as culture, sports, and outdoor life.

You can use Fritidskortet to pay for activities at Kulturskolan — but the payment must be made through Kulturskolans elevportal so that we can confirm who has paid.

The service is open until November 17 at 23:00, after which it will close.

If you need help with your application, you can visit one of our drop-in sessions at Skövde Kulturfabrik:

  • Thursday, November 6, 12:00–16:00
  • Thursday, November 13, 16:00–18:00

You can also email kulturskolan@skovde.se and we’ll reply as soon as possible.

Paying with Fritidskortet

To pay with Fritidskortet, you must submit an application for each child.

  1. Log in to Kulturskolans elevportal as a guardian (using BankID).

  2. Click Ansök om Fritidskort.

  3. Select your child and confirm your application.

  4. You’ll be redirected to the Fritidskortet website — log in again with BankID.

  5. Choose the child (must be registered at your address).

  6. Apply for the card and sign with BankID.

  7. Once approved, select Betala för fritidsaktivitet.

  8. Enter the amount you wish to use for the invoice from Kulturskolan.

  9. Choose aktivitet: Kultur, and sign again with BankID.

  10. Done! If successful, the status will show Ansökan beviljad.

If Fritidskortet doesn’t cover the full fee, you’ll receive an invoice for the remaining amount in November.

Troubleshooting

Can I pay directly on the Fritidskortet website?
No. Payments must be made via Kulturskolans student portal so we can verify the payer.

I can’t log in to the student portal.
Email us at kulturskolan@skovde.se or come to one of our Fritidskortet drop-in sessions. If both guardians share custody, try logging in as the other guardian. If that works, they can select "Lägg till vårdnadshavare" to give you access.

I don’t see “Ansök om Fritidskort” in the portal.
Only the listed payer can apply. Email kulturskolan@skovde.se and we’ll update the payer information.

About Fritidskortet

What is Fritidskortet?
It’s a digital service that allows you to pay for regular leisure activities such as sports, culture, and outdoor recreation.

How much money is available?
All children aged 8–16 receive 500 SEK per year.
Children from households that received housing benefits last year may receive 2,000 SEK.

My child has protected registration (skyddad folkbokföring). What should I do?
You can’t use the digital service but can apply via a paper form. You must live with your child. Contact kulturskolan@skovde.se to get the correct OCR number for the form.

We’re separated — who can use Fritidskortet?
Only the guardian in the household where the child is officially registered can use the Fritidskort.

Organisation behind the Leisure Activity Card
The Fritidskortet is a national government initiative, not a municipal service. It is a joint mission involving Folkhälsomyndigheten, E-hälsomyndigheten, Försäkringskassan, MUCF and Kulturrådet, in cooperation with Riksidrottsförbundet, Svenskt Friluftsliv, and SKR.
